Welcome to East Lyme, CT

East Lyme, Connecticut is an adorable town with an extensive number of beaches along the Long Island Sound and Niantic Bay. The area of East Lyme is divided into two sections: the Village of Flanders, and the Village of Niantic.

Both the Village of Flanders and the Village of Niantic rely heavily on the seafood business and hotel restoration and development. The Village of Niantic boasts a beautiful boardwalk that is lined with shop after shop for every essential need, and a few extras.

The Thomas Lee House is a popular tourist spot for those visiting East Lyme. The home was built in 1660, and is the oldest home in Connecticut. The home is now maintained with its original charm, and joins no less then 6 other homes in the city built before 1669. Residents of East Lyme take advantage of the development of condos and town homes located a short distance from the beach. The home values of properties in East Lyme are increasing, and the city is beginning to gain a reputation for its great family atmosphere.

Beaches, taverns, inns and cottages have made East Lyme a popular summer tourist attraction and permanent residential area. The area includes 171-acre Rocky Neck State Park which lies on the shore of the Long Island Sound. The Rocky Neck Park's golden, no stone beaches make it an ideal place to bring family. Picnics, fishing, and camping are all available at the park.

East Lyme is a gorgeous community with enough beaches to entertain the most avid outdoorsman or the relaxed sunbather. Enjoy East Lyme and all it has to offer.
