Living in Eldridge, IA

Located just five minutes north of Davenport and Interstate 80, Eldridge, IA has a population of 4,800 and strong roots in agriculture. While maintaining a profile of being a bedroom community to the Quad City metropolitan area, Eldridge has recently experienced rapid growth in both its residential subdivisions and its business park.

Eldridge is part of the North Scott Community School District which is composed of 5 elementary schools and 1 junior and senior high school. One elementary school and the junior and senior high school are located within Eldridge. Other communities in the district include Donahue, Long Grove, Park View and Princeton. The district has received continued recognition as a leader in educational excellence.

Residents enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including golf, fishing and camping. Nearby Scott County Park covers an area of 1,280 acres. Eldridge Days is an annual small town summer fest which follows the unique Moonlight Chase, a 4-mile nighttime road race on luminary-lined streets. Proceeds from the events support several local civic projects.
