Welcome to Crestview, Florida

Crestview, Florida is located in the Fort Walton Beach metropolitan area in Okaloosa County, at the junction of three major highways: U.S. 90, State Road 85 and Interstate Highway 10. Referred to as the “Hub City,” Crestview‘s name was chosen because it is located on the peak of a long woodland range between the Yellow and Shoal rivers which almost parallel on the east and west side of the city.

Though it is a mid-sized city, Crestview is one of the fastest growing communities in Northwest Florida, with an estimated population growth of 19.9% from 2000-2005. Crestview, Florida is located about 30 miles inland from the beautiful Gulf of Mexico; it is a quick drive to the beach yet a safe distance inland to alleviate hurricane fears.

The CSX, Inc. railroad runs through Crestview. Parallel to the railroad is the Old Spanish Trail, running west from Jacksonville, Florida to El Paso, Texas. The Old Spanish Trail is one of the greatest truck lines in the United States.

With the formal adoption of the Community Redevelopment Agency concept in 1995, business owners and merchants have been busy restoring commercial properties and historical sights to improve the downtown area. Crestview is a fantastic area to relocate to, with low-crime rates, plenty of employment opportunities and great schools.
