Flagler County Has Something For Everyone

Whether newcomers are looking for a beach community, a golf and recreation community, or a more rural setting, Flagler County has it all. Along the eastern coast of Florida, midway between the home of the Daytona 500 International Speedway and the quaint old city of St. Augustine, lies one of the most beautiful and pristine counties in the state. With it sun crowded beaches, historic ruins, public rose gardens, tranquil waterways and subtropical forests, the ever-changing Atlantic Ocean, freshwater lakes, seven championship golf courses, tennis, unlimited water sports, and the world's oldest marine attraction, Flagler County has something for everyone who visits.

Flagler County was named the eighth fastest-growing county in the United States from 1990 to 2000 and the fastest growing county in the State of Florida. The county's largest community is Palm Coast, a thriving development with a lovely hometown feel. It is also home to Hammock Dunes, an upscale private golf course community on the last undeveloped stretch of Florida's Atlantic Ocean beaches.

Flagler County has an involved citizenry dedicated to maintaining orderly growth. The result is a high quality of living with state-of-the-art medical facilities, first-rate schools, and superior recreation without a loss of the old Florida way of life.

On the east side of the county are 19 miles of beaches. The cities of Flagler Beach and Beverly Beach offer a relaxed atmosphere where visitor and residents alike enjoy the Florida leisurely, sunny way of life.

On the west side of the county, visitors and residents drive along tree and farm-lined rural roads, where the strong agricultural base plays an important part in Flagler's economy lies. Potato, cabbage and sod farms as well as timber stands and cattle are abundant here. Flagler County also offers superior opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities with first-class golf courses and tennis facilities, three state parks, 24 county parks, bicycle trails, water sports and more.
