The City of Geneva, Florida

The Geneva area was originally called Harney Cove because of its proximity to Lake Harney. In the late 1870s it was renamed New Geneva. The community of Geneva over the years has supported sawmill activity, citrus growing, turpentine stills, cattle raising and commercial fishing.
