High Springs, Florida - Known for its History and Recreation

High Springs offers the charm of a small southern town and the excitement of an outdoor adventureland. Known for its history and recreation, High Springs offers residents and visitors plenty to do and see, from canoeing the rivers and diving in crystal-clear springs to historic walking tours and antique shopping. Art galleries, artisan’s studios and specialty shops, plus a number of festivals and celebrations draw thousands to the town each year, including an antique car show and Pioneer Days. This two-day festival, which began as a local celebration with costume and seed-spitting contests attracts more than 20,000 people each year on the first full weekend in May and offers activities for the whole family. It combines an arts and crafts show with food and entertainment.
