Jupiter maintains a “small-town feel” and a sense of community that is appreciated by residents and visitors alike. It is located less than 16 miles from downtown West Palm Beach, but this town has much more to offer than just proximity to the famous Palm Beaches. Jupiter is a boater's paradise; its own beautiful beaches border the Atlantic Ocean or the Jupiter Inlet, the latter of which is framed by the famous crimson Jupiter lighthouse and an array of fresh seafood restaurants that can be reached by car or boat. The Loxahatchee River and Intracoastal Waterway snake through town, and the historic Riverbend Park, where the Battle of the Loxahatchee took place in 1838, is one of 12 parks in town. This city has many sub-divisions and communities that have homes for sale in all price ranges. Many of the homes for sale in Jupiter, Florida are on golf courses and are gated communities with stunning views of the city.

Jupiter is also home to the Abacoa Town Center, a traditional downtown that plays host to all of the town's major events and activities. Here you will find restaurants, dozens of retail shops, an outdoor theater, and Roger Dean Stadium, the 6600-seat complex that serves as the spring training facility for the St. Louis Cardinals and Florida Marlins. Abacoa Town Center is part of the larger Abacoa Community, which encompasses several residential neighborhoods, a Business Center, and one of Florida Atlantic University's campuses. Abacoa has also been chosen by The Scripps Research Institute as the site of a new 350,000 square foot biomedical research facility, which is projected for completion in 2008.
