Lighthouse Point, FL – A Hidden Gem

From its early beginning in 1956, Lighthouse Point has remained a bit of a hidden gem tucked just inside the Hillsboro Inlet under the continuous watch of the historic 1906 Hillsboro Light House. A city characterized by informal affluence – its great asset is its friendly people and sense of neighborhood and community.

To the south are the cities of Pompano Beach and Ft. Lauderdale and to the north are the cities of Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton. Lighthouse Point is only 2.36 square miles in area with 18 miles of winding waterways all flowing to the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean. For the boating enthusiasts – having a Lighthouse Point address does not get much better. For relaxation, recreation and sports – you are sure to enjoy the city’s 20 acres of parks all carefully maintained throughout the year.

Another rare feature is Lighthouse Point’s own police and fire/rescue departments. While most municipalities have given up these services Lighthouse Point has once again differentiate itself and provides the finest protection for its residence and guests. It’s just what Lighthouse Point does. Call it old fashion or what you like – but it is what the residents want and like. It’s part of that friendly small town atmosphere.
