Oak Hill - Named For its Abundance of Trees

The City of Oak Hill is the southernmost city in Southeast Volusia County. Named for its abundance of trees, the city lies along the beautiful Indian River. The town is rich in history, bird life and subtropical flora. Citrus groves were planted beginning in 1865, and commercial fishing began in 1908.

The beauty and charm of the Oak Hill community is enhanced by lovely 19th century homes. Oak Hill is located south of New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater, borders the Canaveral National Seashore, and is close to the Kennedy Space Center.
