We Welcome You To Ocala…. You will find that Ocala / Marion County is a wonderful place and Florida is a wonderful state that is so attractive to visitors who come here from all over the world. We have a very warm and friendly hometown atmosphere. Ocala was named the “All American City” by the National Civic League, and the Nations 11th most desirable place to live by Money Magazine in 1998. We have a National Natural Landmark, Silver Springs and many countless historic landmarks. Many Ancient Indian artifacts have been discovered along the Silver River. The Timucua Indians put down roots in a spot they called “Ocali”. Marion County is a successful blend of past & present. Proud of its heritage, The Marion County Preservation Groups keep history here alive.
Ocala is well known for its nationally recognized Prize Winning Horses and Cattle. Ocala has many acres of beautiful rolling hills, trees, spring fed rivers, lush pastures, a patchwork of forest, and quiet towns. We have many different types of communities to choose from. We have homes priced as low as the $30,000 on up to the Millions. Ocala has a third of the most affordable housing in the nation, according to The National Association of Realtors in 2000. So if you’re an avid Golfer or prefer the set back life of living on the water for lots of fishing and jet skiing, we got you covered. Marion County offers a unique lifestyle. Many of our visitors were “just driving through”, but decided to stay awhile and many have made permanent residents here in Ocala, FL. We stay a nice moderate temperature of 90 degrees in the summer months with a nice ocean breeze from both the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico. A nice drive to the beach is only an hour away.
