The rapidly expanding community of Port Saint Lucie, Florida was founded only in 1958 and became a city in 1961. Sign up for a class at one of the area recreation centers where all kinds of classes are offered for all ages and abilities. The New York Mets have their spring training in Port Saint Lucie. Check them out for an afternoon while they are in town at Thomas J. White Stadium. Make a quick drive to the beach for some quality Florida sun and beach time, or down to Stuart for extraordinary fishing.

Due to the ever broadening nature of Port Saint Lucie, you can imagine the effect this has had on their real estate market. Homes are still affordable starting from $145,000 and condominiums starting at $130,000. The high-end market, mostly on the Indian River, is steady at a range between $1 and $5 million.
