The Town of Fremont, CA

Fremont was first settled with the establishment of Mission San Jose by the Spanish. In the mid 1840's, John C. Fremont mapped the area through Mission Pass to gain access for settlers to the Southeast San Francisco Bay Area. Since that time, Fremont, CA has developed into a thriving community of residences, businesses, and community facilities. Fremont boasts over 40 sports fields, over 250 picnic areas, over 200 summer camp programs, over 1200 classes and over 36 tennis courts. With average temperatures ranging from 41 to 80, Fremont is the preferred home for many.

Fremont is an integral part of Silicon Valley and has eagerly welcomed hi tech and bio tech industries to town. Commuting to various Silicon Valley locations is made easier with a stop of the Altamont Commuter Express. A Fremont BART station allows residents easy access to San Francisco and other parts of the Bay Area.

In May 2009, Aqua Adventures opens. This 4 acre water attraction features water slides, a lazy river, and lap pools. Swim lessons and lap swims are available as well as facilities for group/party activities. An exciting and much awaited addition to Fremont’s recreational options.
