The Town of Fremont, CAFremont was first settled with the establishment of Mission San Jose by the Spanish. In the mid 1840's, John C. Fremont mapped the area through Mission Pass to gain access for settlers to the Southeast San Francisco Bay Area. Commuting to various Silicon Valley locations is made easier with a stop of the Altamont Commuter Express.
