Welcome to Front Royal, Virginia

Front Royal, Virginia, part of the Warren County area, has grown at a steady pace in recent years. Just off Interstate 66 and in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, it provides a convenient commute to both Winchester and the Northern Virginia area.

Warren County real estate is as varied as the outdoor activities that abound in the area. Enjoy a downtown historic home if that fits your taste, or climb into a quiet mountain retreat to please your more outdoorsy disposition. Whatever your preference, you are sure to find something to your liking. The Front Royal area can not be discussed without mentioning its outdoor amenities. Situated on the banks of the Shenandoah River, fishing, boating and canoeing especially, since Front Royal is also known as the “Canoe Capital of Virginia,” are readily available. Front Royal is located at the northern tip of Shenandoah National Park which offers all of the wildlife, trails and other perks that the Blue Ridge Mountains so beautifully provide. The famed Skyline Drive begins in Front Royal and offers a variety of hiking, camping and site-seeing opportunities.

Around the city of Front Royal you'll find an abundance of fun things to do in the many museums, restaurants, antique shops, art galleries and historical sights. Drop in on a local auction at one of the three in town and see what's up for bid. Take a drive and tour one of the two wineries close by, Oasis Winery and Rappahannock Cellars, both a short 10 mile drive away. The area also offers a number of excellent golf courses, including Blue Ridge Shadows, Bowling Green Country Club and Shenandoah Valley Golf Club.
