About Grand Ledge, MI

Minutes west of the city of Lansing, Michigan lies historic Grand Ledge. Named after its impressive towering sandstone rock ledges that abut the Grand River, this pleasant community prides itself on its commitment to preserving the city’s history.

Large Victorian-style homes grace neighborhoods surrounding the downtown business district. Area residents renovated the Grand Ledge Opera House, a fixture in the community since 1994 and one of the city’s oldest buildings. This magnificent Victorian building, located on the banks of the Grand River, hosts business meetings, weddings and community events.

Student enrollment is 5,400. Average ACT scores: 22.2, average SAT scores: 1136 (Math 577 Verbal 559).

The historic community is close to everything but seems worlds away when you’re there. Many housing options are available from historic homes to condos and new developments.
