About Granville, Ohio

Yankee pioneers from Massachusetts and Connecticut founded Granville, Ohio in 1805 and is home to Denison University, one of the top liberal arts colleges in the Midwest. Homes in this New England-style village range between $150,000 and $300,000. While the outlying subdivisions contain contemporary housing, the center of the village boasts 18 different historic architectural styles, including Dutch Colonial, Tudor, Victorian and Greek revival. Recreational facilities include golf courses, bike paths and parks, and Granville's annual Street Scenes sidewalk sale and crafts show. There is also a variety of museums, including the Granville Historical Museum. The Buxton Inn, built in 1812, is Ohio's oldest operating inn still using its original building.
