Greensboro has become a retirement destination for many because of the wonderful year-round climate. We enjoy almost perfect weather here. The average year-round temperature is 69 degrees, with an average of 4 inches of snow and 50 inches of rain annually. We have four distinct seasons without the temperature extremes typical of other areas. College students flock to the city for the many colleges and universities here, and then remain after graduation because of the numerous employment opportunities. Businesses move into the area to take advantage of the recent college graduates looking for employment, and the cycle is complete.
