Welcome to Hartford, WI

Located in the picturesque hills of the Kettle Moraine, Hartford is a city that balances itself carefully between it’s rapidly growing community and historic past. Hartford’s pride of heritage is seen in the beautifully maintained Chandelier Ballroom as well as their historic main street area where you can find antiques, carefully handcrafted items, and delicious Wisconsin sweets and cheeses. The progress of the Hartford community is apparent with the development of the Signicast Aquatics Center, Schauer Arts & Activities Center and the Hartford Recreation Center.

With a variety of civic interest groups like the Hartford City Band, Garden Club, Soccer Club, Woman’s Club and Hartford Area Project Care program for youths, Hartford is great for families. Hartford’s local hospital and clinics provide many options for health care to insure that you are not required to leave the area to obtain the medical care you or your family require.

For those that love the outdoors, the city has many opportunities for nature exploration in Hartford’s large local park system, the Kettle Moraine State Forest, Pike Lake State Park, Hartford Mill Pond, and along the Rubicon River Trail. Nearby in the town of Hubertus you can also find the stunning Shrine of Mary Basilica located in the on summit of Holy Hill and surrounded by 435 acres of scenic country side. Hartford is also home to The Wisconsin Automotive Museum and the Annual Hartford Balloon Rally.
