Friendly Henrietta, NY

Henrietta, NY is known as the “Township of Friendship.” It is located at the gateway to the city of Rochester from the New York State Thruway (I-90) and it leads to all points east and west.

Originally a farming community, the town attracted many settlers. Henrietta is multi-denominational community, with a mix of Protestant, Catholic, Evangelical, Jewish, Hindu, and Buddhist. It makes for a perfect blending of people.

Henrietta’s location has attracted many businesses, including Delphi Technical Center, dozens of firms on Jefferson Road, and Marketplace Mall.

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) moved from Rochester in 1968 and it’s currently a large campus with stores, restaurants, and apartments that serve not only its students but the community as well. The National Technical Institute for the Deaf is located on the RIT campus. Henrietta also supports the Greater Rochester area as the home of the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital, and Monroe Community College.

Henrietta has made a commitment to maintaining green space. This is evident in its parks and walking trails, from the Tinker Homestead and Tinker Nature Park to Veterans Memorial Park and others located throughout the town.

Henrietta boasts affordable houses, upscale living, new homes, town houses, and planned unit developments. In New York State, Henrietta has it all and does it with hometown charm. Consider yourself a friend when you are in Henrietta.
