About Hingham, Massachusetts

A seaside town rich in history, Hingham, Massachusetts boasts beautiful tree-lined streets, fine architecture and a vibrant community of around 21,000 residents. The commuter boat provides a favorite choice for the run to work in Boston; the commuter rail is planned to begin in 2007. Known for its fine schools, both public and private, it also offers recreation facilities for every season. A maritime center, town shore facilities and private yacht club in addition to a public country club and two additional golf courses plus indoor skating rink are all available.

History is emphasized and many homes in Hingham, Massachusetts date from the 1600's. Much development is planned in the future, especially in the former shipyard area.
