The city of Huntsville, AL

The city of Huntsville is located in North Alabama in the heart of the Tennessee Valley, approximately 100 miles north of Birmingham and south of Nashville, TN. Huntsville is one of the most recognized cities in the Southeast - recently ranked No. 1 Best City on the list of "10 Best Cities of 2009" by Kiplinger Personal Finance magazine. The area successfully combines the rich heritage of Southern hospitality with innovative high-tech ventures and cultural diversity. The nearby city of Madison has been ranked No. 2 on the list of "Best Places to Grow Up" in 2009 U.S. News & World Report. The Madison County population is estimated at 320,000.

Huntsville/Madison County is home to the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, U.S. Army's Redstone Arsenal, as well as Huntsville's Cummings Research Park, which is the country's second largest research and technology park, containing 225 companies employing 23,000 people involved in technology research and development, plus biotechnology. These all combine to drive a strong research and development economy. The cost of living in the greater Huntsville area is among the lowest in the United States. The highly educated workforce commands competitive salaries in the South East region.
