Hinsdale is among Chicago’s most desirable suburbs offering excellent schools, convenient transportation to the city via expressways or the train, and a charming central area with plenty of shops, restaurants and services. Located 20 miles west of Chicago, commuters can be at Union Station in Chicago or O’Hare or Midway airports in 20 to 30 minutes.
Hinsdale offers several beautiful parks with playgrounds throughout the community, a public swimming pool, and a public library. Katherine Legge Park, Immanuel Hall and the Community House offer meeting space for classes and social gatherings.
Summer events include a large Fourth of July parade, Farmer’s Market, art festivals and
a live concert series.
The schools, part of Hinsdale School Districts 181 and 86, are ranked academically among the top schools in the state. Hinsdale Central High School has some of Illinois’ most competitive sports teams having won several state championships in multiple sports over the years.
