Living in Kenilworth, IL

Kenilworth, a small suburb nestled between Wilmette and Winnetka on Chicago's North Shore, is unique in its size. This planned community -- less than one square mile -- is known for its school system, lakefront location and proximity to downtown Chicago. The Joseph Sears School, named after the man who founded Kenilworth in 1889, serves the entire community of about 2,500 residents. The school consists of Junior Kindergarten though 8th grade and is all under one roof. Renowned New Trier High School is two blocks away from the grade school. The village residents enjoy a home-town welcoming feel by participating in a range of community events and, with its own Metra train station, residents can get to the "city life" within minutes.
