Welcome to Galesburg, Illinois

The city of Galesburg is located just off Interstate 74 in the great plains of Knox County in West Central Illinois. A historic city with charming Victorian homes, an array of shopping opportunities, fabulous antiques, arts and exciting annual events located throughout the city for the population of almost 35,000.

Galesburg is a city with one of the largest railroad yards in the country. The area’s largest employer is BNSF followed by the healthcare industry with OSF St. Mary Medical Center and Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

Educational opportunities are important and the Galesburg Public School and its surrounding cities offer excellent schools. Home to two colleges located directly in Galesburg -- Carl Sandburg College and Knox College.
