About Schaumburg, Illinois

Schaumburg, Illinois offers residents a diverse array of housing, shopping, and recreational possibilities. Schaumburg has many single-family homes as well as condominiums and townhouses, and in some cases waterfront dwellings are available. While Schaumburg offers all the amenities that one would expect from a cosmopolitan suburb of Chicago, it is especially desirable if you enjoy an infinite variety of shopping possibilities. Schaumburg is home to 67 shopping centers, including Woodfield Mall, the second largest enclosed shopping mall in the United States.

The Schaumburg Park District encompasses over 1,000 acres of land and manages two golf courses, many swimming pools, and 53 outdoor playing fields. The park district also operates several indoor fitness centers and gyms for year-round use. Residents also enjoy the hiking and bicycling trails in Schaumburg's many nature preserves.

Schaumburg's Prairie Center for the Arts offers concerts and plays throughout the year and serves as the town's cultural center. Residents also enjoy September Fest, Schaumburg's annual festival that offers everyone a chance to experience arts, crafts, music, and food in a three-day celebration.
