About South Barrington, Illinois

Located 35 miles northwest of Chicago, South Barrington is a small community that is home to around 3,800 people. Home prices, on average, range from about $500,000 to $3,000,000. The housing options in this area include a wide variety of homes, such as single family, residential and waterfront properties in addition to lots and land for individual home construction. In addition to the distinctive homes available, one unique aspect of South Barrington is the Stillman Nature Center, a plot of land donated to the Audubon Society of Chicago. This area is now a prairie preserve that provides a serene backdrop in South Barrington amidst the otherwise fast-paced style of living associated with this day and age. In keeping with a peaceful atmosphere, South Barrington also features forty-five private ponds and lakes.

South Barrington, while boasting peaceful, natural settings, has also kept up-to-date in entertainment and community activity. In the past decade, a 30-screen movie theatre has been built in addition to many exceptional retailers and restaurants.
