Welcome to the City of Kewanee, IL

Kewanee, Illinois is strategically located an equal distance between the Quad Cities and Peoria, IL. Kewanee is a melting pot of many ethnicities with a population of over 12,000. It offers a quality of life that not only those in the Midwest, but visitors can appreciate. It is the home of not only 2 public school systems, but houses Black Hawk College-East Campus.

Kewanee, IL has the Quad City International Airport within a 45 minute drive of the city and an Amtrak train station right in the city limits.

The park district which, is very close by, is one of the largest in the state and offers a variety of recreational activities. Kewanee claims to be the "Hog Capital of the World" and celebrates with a parade and a variety of great pork products at its annual fest held over Labor Day weekend. The city also is home to Good's Furniture which covers at least 4 city blocks in the downtown area and also houses a very nice Wine Cellar Restaurant and a Bed & Breakfast. People from all over the state come just to see what the store has to offer.
