Danville, Indiana is located 20 miles west of downtown Indianapolis on U.S. 36 - a four lane highway which was opened in 1986 to help promote commuting into the city. Major housing subdivisions accommodate many of the town's residents, with standard home prices around $125,000.

With its nationally-recognized education system, Danville named its beautiful 50-acre park after the late Harve Ellis, who was the superintendent for 40 years. Ellis Park is at the heart of the community and contains a swimming pool, clay tennis courts, basketball courts, a full football field, a cinder track, softball diamonds, shelter houses and ample parking. The town also maintains an outdoor theatre, which serves as a stage for the annual "Symphony in the Park" concerts as well as many other events.
