Charming Iowa City, IA

Iowa City and the neighboring towns of Coralville and North Liberty have something to offer people of all ages and interests. We are fortunate to have big city amenities with the feel and security of a small, Midwestern community. You’ll enjoy a lower cost of living, less congestion and excellent public schools, which is the reason Iowa City regularly ranks as one of the “best-places-to-live” in national magazines.

The University of Iowa, with more than 30,500 students, calls Iowa City home. The University provides the area with a variety of educational and cultural opportunities, Big Ten athletic events and the highly acclaimed, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In addition to being known for its commitment to science and research, the University of Iowa has a rich history of nurturing the arts. In recognition of that, Iowa City was named the third UNESCO Literary City in the World and shares that title with Edinburgh, Scotland and Melbourne, Australia.

A centerpiece of Iowa City is the downtown pedestrian plaza which boasts a life-size chessboard, a number of shops and cafés and an outdoor stage where you can catch a jazz concert during the summer months. A gathering place for the entire community, children play while their parents discuss the big game and students study at the nearby café. There are also a wealth of parks to enjoy, hiking and biking trails, and aquatic sports at the Coralville Reservoir or the Iowa River.

Iowa City is a community with a strong sense of history and tradition that stands on the cutting edge of tomorrow. We can’t wait to welcome you to the neighborhood!
