A community that prides itself as “a place where people live by choice”, Louisburg is 17 miles south of Overland Park, just a short drive down US 69 Hwy and 4 miles from the Kansas/Missouri border. Continually growing, Louisburg has a population of approximately 3,800, and has proactively prepared for this growth with the construction of a new High School in 2002 and an additional Elementary School in 2008. Affordable new home construction is available and existing homes in every price range. There are more than 12 subdivisions in Louisburg, or stretch out on a few acres outside of town and create your own unique living experience.

The rural countryside surrounding Louisburg offers abundant recreational opportunities. There are great fishing and boating lakes to the west and south of the area. There are both public and private golf courses, as well as a continuous stream of civic and social events. Louisburg offers its residents a rural lifestyle while remaining close enough to commute to the metropolitan area for work and pleasure.
