The balanced and nice mix of residential, retail, business, medical and educational facilities makes Crestview Hills a desirable place to live. Other positive features are excellent recreation programs, low property taxes and low crime rate. Newcomers will find a range of newer single-family and older homes and condominiums, some with lakeside or course views. They’ll also find some amenities and attractions rarely found in small communities. There is The Summit Hills Country Club, an 18-hole golf course; the new $80-million Crestview Hills Town Center, with 60 stores and restaurants; nine banks within a one mile radius of the center of the city; four public and five parochial schools and for higher education, there’s Thomas More College, a four-year, Catholic liberal arts school. The community’s growth has been facilitated by the development of the expressway system. Crestview Hills was settled in 1785 and became a city in 1951.
