Edgewood, KY – A Quiet, Pretty NeighborhoodThe city of Edgewood, KY takes its name from an early homestead, now Walker Estates. It was founded in 1948. In 1968, the cities of Edgewood, Summit Hills Heights and St. Pius voted to merge. Result: New Edgewood. Today, Edgewood is a quiet, pretty neighborhood with parks, schools, health centers and a hospital. Housing options include brick ranches, luxurious single family homes, and two-story structures, most built in the past two decades. It has three parks and is close to golf, shopping at area malls and the airport; it is also minutes away from downtown Cincinnati. Dining options include El Coyote, Carrabba’s Italian and China Star. St. Elizabeth Medical Center South and a campus of Gateway Community Technical College are here. James D. Patton Tech Center, which offers vocational education, is in Edgewood; as is Dixie High School. | More Local Area InformationEdgewood, Kentucky is a young, attractive, and prosperous community and is seen by many as a great community to live a relaxed and gentle life.
