Welcome to Erlanger, KYErlanger was named to honor Baron Frederic Emile D’ Erlanger, a German-born English financier who was involved in developing the city, first settled in 1807. Elsmere was established in the 1890s by developer Lou Nolon, once a resident on Elsmere Street in Norwood, Ohio. It was incorporated in 1896. These similar communities offer housing choices that range from historic residences to affordable first homes and new construction. They are linked by a combined school system—four elementary, one middle and a senior high school, Lloyd Memorial High. Non-public schools here include St. Henry High School, a coed Catholic school; Country Hills Montessori and the preschool Little Red School House. Residents take advantage of many parks and playgrounds, and they are served by topnotch fire, police and rescue squads. Both communities are convenient to downtown Cincinnati, the airport, to dining, entertainment venues, including a cinema multiplex. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America is located in Erlanger and employs 2,102 people. | More Local Area InformationErlanger, Kentucky is an older community in the area, and has many old family businesses lining the two major highways that run through this city....
