If you are driving along Kentucky 627 South and find yourself in a luxury of antique shops and small locally owned restaurants, you have arrived in Winchester, Kentucky. Winchester is the county seat of Clark County and is located just 20 minutes east of Lexington. As you view the intact Victorian Buildings that line Main Street, you will find Winchester's “signature” street lamps which are replicas of the original electric lamps that were installed in 1913 after the city had paved Main Street in 1912. Winchester, Kentucky has many Victorian homes for sale and several custom built homes that have panoramic views of the countryside.
