Kissimmee - A Young, Dynamic City

Kissimmee is a young, dynamic city with a special place under the vacationland sun of Central Florida. Situated on Disney’s doorstep, Kissimmee attracts new residents wanting to be part of the action at the attractions. Tourism has brought a dramatic increase in the service and related industries. Banking, manufacturing and light industry are also contributing to the city’s vitality.

Golf courses, tennis courts, riding stables, water sports and spectator sports make Kissimmee popular with outdoor and sports enthusiasts. The Osceola County Stadium is the spring training facility of major league baseball’s Houston Astros, and also hosts the Astros’ minor league team’s summer games. Lake Tohopekaliga, or “Lake Toho,” is the setting for great fishing tournaments, while boat tours along the scenic Kissimmee chain of lakes are among the best in Central Florida. The Osceola Center for the Arts and the nearby Tupperware Center are sites of outstanding concerts and theatrical performances. Visitors enjoy the restored downtown district with its quaint shops and cafes.

Residential growth is soaring. Single-family homes range from the very affordable to more than $1 million. Upscale neighborhoods are on the rise, with golf-front homes and lakeside estates from which to choose.
