Geneva Lake, The Second Deepest Lake in The State of Wisconsin

Our area is known as Lake Geneva, while the lake is Geneva Lake, the second deepest in the state of Wisconsin. Located in southeastern Wisconsin, we’re 75 miles north from Chicago allowing us to be considered the “up north” for many visiting Chicagoans, and a resort area getaway for Milwaukee, at 45 miles south. Known as a resort town or as the “Newport of the West” it offers many year round activities: boating, biking, over 20 golf courses, 21 mile public lakeshore path, beach areas and of course relaxing or shopping. Lake Geneva supports much history Voted one of twelve Distinctive Destinations in 2009, by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the area boasts a historic ambience of famous mansions along with the great small town feeling of the Midwest. Local shopping and restaurants beckon visitors to wander through the town leisurely or try one of our revered boat tours, such as the Mail Boat tour by Gage Marine, giving visitors a glimpse of life from the water. Living the lifestyle of this area year round has been found to be precious to many residents, often forgotten why people flock to our area, when you live, work, and play surrounded by beauty, we can consider this a “staycation” area.
