Recreation in Loretto, MNAs part of Minnesota--“The Land of 10,000 Lakes”—Loretto residents have an abundance of ways to play outdoors. The city maintains three public parks with playgrounds and ball fields, which are frequently put to use by the Loretto Community Athletic Association, offering baseball and softball programs for kids of all ages. Loretto also has its own community adult baseball team—the Loretto Larks. Within just a few miles of Loretto are two Three Rivers Park District regional parks—Lake Rebecca Park and Baker Park, adjacent to Lake Independence and surrounding Lake Katrina. These parks offer unlimited year round outdoor recreation, including everything from boating to hiking and cross-country skiing. The Park District also maintains several historic sites and living museums, as well as nature programs and observation sites. For Loretto golf lovers, there are over 10 beautifully designed courses within 20 miles of the city, including the Baker National Golf Course, which features an 18-hole championship course, a 9-hole executive course, and a driving range.
