Welcome to Westborough, MA

Ideally located between Worcester and Framingham, Westborough is also strategically positioned at the crossroads of major transportation networks, mainly Route #495, #135, #30and #9. This town is also served by a commuter rail station. Recently a new project in Westborough has opened – Bay State Commons. This new development will provide Westborough residents with shopping and condos. The town has created a fine balance between the bustle of urban life and suburban serenity.

Excellent schools together with a high level of community participation, good civic services and a strong history are all hallmarks of this town. Westborough has managed to attract a significant section of high-tech manufacturers and corporate headquarters along with brisk commercial development, without the sacrifice of open spaces and tranquility of residential neighborhoods. Westborough’s most famous native son, Eli Whitney, invented the cotton Gin in 1795. Modern industries located within the borders include: AstraZeneca, Genzyme, EMC Corp, and IBM, etc.
