Welcome to Hagerstown, MD

Located in western Maryland, Hagerstown is one of the largest cities in the area and yet it still provides all of the sights, sounds, and ambience of a small town.

The downtown area boasts many restaurants, cafes, shops and historic buildings which offer numerous opportunities for entertainment or just a day strolling down the street. Much of the area has been part of a revitalization project that was recently designated as the city’s Arts and Entertainment District. Here you will find several fine dining establishments, the Maryland Theatre, an art school, and several other unique businesses and organizations. In addition to the downtown area, Hagerstown also is home to many other businesses that include a large shopping mall, outlet center and other local shopping centers.

A well-rounded community, Hagerstown is also home to several large industrial and service companies which provide a stable employment base and contribute many resources to the local area. In addition, the Hagerstown Regional Airport is located nearby, providing access to commercial and private planes, as well as a variety of other aviation-related services.

Within approximately a one-hour drive of the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore Metropolitan areas, Hagerstown is just a short trip away from all the historical sites and sounds of the big cities. Yet, the area boasts a great deal of its own history.

First-time visitors are often surprised when they discover Hagerstown’s close proximity to area historical sites that include local museums, civil war battlefields and state parks.

The real estate market consists of a diverse mix of planned communities, rural setting housing, farms and farmettes, urban living and everything in between. With an average price that has ranged from $160,000-$180,000 during the past year, there truly is something for everyone when it comes to finding a great value and a wonderful place to call home.
