Welcome to Belleville, Michigan

Belleville is a diverse community with approximately 3,900 residents. The city has a total area of 1.2 square miles with 1.1 square miles of land and 0.04 square miles of it is water. Wayne County’s largest inland lake was created as Edison Lake, but is called Belleville Lake. It was created by damming up the Huron River in two places. The Huron River flows directly into Lake Erie.

The city has both charming small neighborhoods as well as subdivisions. Rural areas surround the 2 square miles of the city center, which rests along the lake’s south shore.
