Attractive Chelsea, MIChelsea is a picture-perfect town located about 25 miles west of the greater Ann Arbor area. With a population of 4,398 (according to the 2000 census), Chelsea has a vibrant downtown area hosting an array of retail shops, salons, a picturesque residential strip and incredible gourmet restaurants such as the prominent Common Grill. Local publishing companies, a major auto proving ground and the popular downtown merchants support the local economy. The Chelsea Milling Company has been a major landmark since 1930, supplying families with Jiffy cake and muffin mixes.

Chelsea also holds an annual SummerFest that draws visitors from all over Michigan. The popular street fair features live music, children’s entertainment and activities, classic cars and a local food court.
