The Rural City of Mason, MI

Mason is a city of approximately 7000 people southeast of Lansing and is the county seat of Ingham County. The historic county courthouse is the focal point of the downtown square and reflects the historic charm and character of the community. There are numerous nineteenth century era buildings in the downtown area and it is a pedestrian friendly environment.

Located in an agricultural setting with an abundance of rural charm, the city offers quiet neighborhoods, affordable housing, and a strong sense of community. Though seemingly a world away, Mason is only minutes from the greater Lansing area and all that it offers, including Michigan State University, medical facilities and entertainment options.

Student Enrollment in Mason is 3,135 with 2 National Merit Finalists. The average ACT Score is 23.

There are several large and small businesses in the city, with various commercial enterprises complimenting the character of community.

Mason has been honored as Tree City USA every year since 1990 by the Arbor Day Foundation. Parks and recreational activities abound.
