Saline, Michigan, a city of about 9000, is located seven miles southwest of Ann Arbor and is the gateway to the Irish Hills, an exceptionally scenic portion of southeast Michigan along US-12. Saline has a strong agricultural heritage, and the area retains some of that flavor today. Saline residents, and indeed people from all over southeast Michigan, enjoy Saline’s annual Celtic Festival each summer, as well as a variety of other festivals throughout the year. Another very popular attraction is the huge Antiques Market, open monthly from April through November, for the past 38 years. And, of course, all of the attractions of Ann Arbor are located within a 10 to 15 minute drive. Saline is home to St. Joseph Mercy Saline Hospital, a fully accredited facility with an award winning Emergency Department, that is part of the St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor. While many Saline residents are employed in Ann Arbor or Detroit and its suburbs, Saline is home to several major employers, including Automotive Components Holdings, Liebherr, and Scherer & Trier.
