Attractions in St. Clair, MI

St. Clair’s star attraction is the Riverview Plaza located in downtown St. Clair, adjacent to the world’s longest freshwater boardwalk. The Riverview Plaza offers a scenic shopping and dining experience with more than 40 stores and restaurants surrounding a central courtyard. Throughout the year, the courtyard hosts a variety of community events such as craft and antique shows, Music at the Gazebo concerts, a Farmers’ Market, and Christmas celebrations.

In addition to the Riverview Plaza, St. Clair Boardwalk, and the city’s many cultural groups, St. Clair residents enjoy a wide range of outdoor recreation experiences, especially water activities on the St. Clair River, Lake St. Clair, and even Lake Huron, which is approximately 17 miles north of the city. St. Clair itself boasts five city parks, and the St. Clair County Parks and Recreation Commission maintains the 327-acre Goodells County Park, the 30-acre Fort Gratiot County Park, and the 12-mile Wadhams to Avoca Trail. Also, another large park—the Columbus County Park—is currently being developed and will offer fishing, biking, horseback riding, and boating on the Belle River. Aside from the region’s many acres of parkland, St. Clair has two public golf courses—the highly acclaimed Rattle Run Golf Course, ranked #1 in the state by Golf Digest, and also the Pine Shores Golf Course.
