Located just west of the City of St. Louis, Clayton is considered a second downtown. Clayton is a city of contrasts: it is home to 70 Forbes and Fortune 500 companies, luxury high-rise condominiums and some of the city’s finest restaurants. It also boasts quiet, private neighborhoods with stately historic homes and a top rated public school district. In early Fall, Clayton streets close for the St. Louis Art Fair, one of the nation’s leading art festivals. In summer, St. Louis Jazz Festival swings Shaw Park, a large city park with tennis, swimming, ice skating, ball fields and picnic shelters.
