The Hill Neighborhood of St. Louis, MO

One of the top “Little Italy” neighborhoods in the country, The Hill attracts top chefs and food connoisseurs to St. Louis. Not surprisingly, The Hill is located at the city’s highest elevation. It was settled in early 1900s by Italian immigrants with streets lined by tidy, single family brick homes, corner bakeries, restaurants and small grocers. You will find homage to baseball personalities Yogi Berra, Joe Garagiola and Jack Buck, who all lived on The Hill. The Hill offers some of the finest Italian cuisine in the world, recipes handed down from generation to generation. Family owned Dominic’s has been voted 2nd best Italian restaurant in America by Conde Nast magazine. Giovanni’s and Charlie Gitto’s have been recognized both locally and nationally for authentic gourmet cuisine.
