Clinton is known for its excellence in business, progressive government, outstanding educational opportunities and its location - west of Jackson, it is only 15 minutes from the capital city. Along with Madison, Ridgeland, Brandon and Flowood, Clinton has one of the lowest crime rates in the Jackson-Metro area. Low cost-of-living and a wide variety of housing opportunities are major benefits for its residents. The educational system is excellent and it is proud to be the home of the oldest institute of higher learning in Mississippi, Mississippi College (Baptist faith).
