Welcome to Madison, MS

Madison, the City, has a small town feel nestled close to the amenities of Jackson and an international touch with its sister city, Solleftea, Sweden. Less than a fifteen minute drive to Jackson, Family Circle, recently named Madison as one of the “Top Towns” within America for raising a family. A thriving town Madison offers residents a unique planned community with strict standards in place for 70+ neighborhoods.

Madison has several top residential areas including five golf course communities - Annandale (Jack Nicklaus designed course) is home to the Viking PGA Golf Classic in the Fall; Reunion (Bob Cupp designed golf course) with 380 acres of water and country clubhouse with swim, tennis, exercise room and Reunion Farms with stables, arena, and resident caretakers; Lake Caroline with an 834 acre lake, swimming and tennis and golf course (Randy Watkins); and Deerfield near Canton, MS and the Nissan facility (5000+sf). Outstanding planned neighborhoods dot this small town including the latest, The Town of Lost Rabbit, situated on 260 wooded acres in Madison County between the Natchez Trace Parkway and The Ross Barnett Reservoir.

The education system is outstanding in this city - it has top ratings in all grade levels. St. Joseph's High School, Madison/Ridgeland Academy and St. Anthony's Lower School are private schools located in Madison. The city has undergone tremendous growth due in part to the reputation of the schools and the strict guidelines imposed by the City Planning Commission.

Activities include the Natchez Trace Parkway with its nature, bike and jogging trails, and the Ross Barnett Reservoir (33,000 acre body of water) for boating, fishing activities, Yacht Club (located on the Madison side of the reservoir) and camping along various points of the reservoir. Madison County has many deer hunting camps out in the country.

City Events include the Annual Christmas Parade, Harvest Time Scarecrow Festival (all local retailers participate with various scarecrows in front of their businesses!) and GermanFest!

Madison is a Top Choice for Buyer(s) relocating and for Seller(s)…an excellent market.
