Madison, Virginia

Madison, Virginia is a rustic area in Virginia with a small town feel and great quality of life. Bordering Charlottesville and thereby the University of Virginia, Madison is conveniently located about 90 miles from Washington, D.C. and about 95 miles from Richmond.

Every year the Taste of the Mountains Street Festival makes its way to Madison and has earned a title of distinctiveness and brings visitors back every year. In fact this famous festival was named as one of the top 20 festivals of the southeast area in 1999. Originating in 1992 as a heritage festival, this day of dancing, shopping, games, marvelous music, eating and more is a celebration of the Blue Ridge Mountains region and the cultures of the area's early settlers of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The pastoral landscapes of Madison are truly part of the Virginia understanding. These are the true qualities that make this area of the country such an extraordinary place to live, work and play.
