Welcome to Midlothian, VA

Deemed as one of the fastest growing communities in the northwestern part of Chesterfield County, Midlothian, Virginia is a community full of pride and a strong desire to remain a flourishing town. In the 1700’s the town was settled by coal miners. For over a century, this was the central economic source. Upon the end of the mining industry, Midlothian quickly grew into a suburban, commuter town. This can be attributed to being located just west of Richmond, the states capital, and easy access to the public transportation rail system.

Known for its alluring neighborhoods, festivals and active groups and individuals, Petersburg residents work together to protect and enhance their community. Having already accomplished many things that have made the town a wonderful place to work and live, they continue to find ways to improve various aspects of the community.

New industrial and residential developments are an essential part of Petersburg’s growth. Although, the town is growing at record speeds and property values have increased, city government members have been extremely careful to properly plan to ensure that local businesses are supported and a balance of a friendly, quaint community and thriving, prospering city remain in tact. This can be seen in the variety of real estate options available, including modern new residential homes and countryside, historic estates.

Modern facilities and unique, family-owned restaurants and businesses give the residents the perfect taste of both small-town and modern suburbia, causing Petersburg, Virginia to be a wonderful place to look for real estate.
