Welcome to Morgantown, KY

Morgantown is located in Butler County and is located west of Bowling Green and the Green River. Some facts include: it was established in 1811 and the first post office opened in 1813, and the elevation ranges from 385 to 810 feet above sea level. The Charles Black City Park in Morgantown is home to the annual Green River Catfish festival. It has been said that Morgantown is the Catfish Capital of the World.
